Darien, Connecticut is another wealthy town of Fairfield County. There are many fine shops, a twin movie theater, Weed Beach, and The Ox Ridge Hunt Club which presents "The June Show" yearly. The show, which is a five day event, runs the week prior to Father's Day with its spectacular Grand Prix ending the show on Father's Day. Many of the Darien residents and surrounding towns are members of Ox Ridge learning about and enjoying these wonderful animals. In the afternoons the aisles are busy with children awaiting lessons on their favorite horse or pony. Another attraction if you are fond of gardening is the Gardener's Center and Neilson's which are right across the street from each other on Rt. 1.
